Praise God there is sanctuary
from all unrighteous sin
to be with the Lord in heaven
eternally with Him

as Jesus had promised the world
through Him lies all our hope
by His sacrifice on the cross
by His words that He spoke
____
when at the point of salvation
from bondage which enslaved
the Creator of all mankind
set us free when we’re saved
____
but why doesn’t the Lord take us
to heaven at that time
when we’ve given our hearts to Him
seeking the One divine
____
there is one valid reason why
you may need to observe
that Christians are spreading the word
once saved they are to serve
____
it is the Christian faith in God
that sustains us in prayer
enduring to the last moment
when Christ receives us there
____
to serve the Lord is to love Him
to love Him we obey
He has a plan for each of us
His will we shall convey
